The Precious Moments of Life (1) - Myat Mon, the Myanmar Girl's return checkup records 20160621
Last July, Myat Mon, the Myanmar girl back to her hometown after tongue operation. After one year time, Tri-Service General Hospital recommended us to have Myat Mon to come back to the hospital for another checkup. After getting in touch with the mother of the girl, Taiwan Root arranged and supported their visa, airline tickets for the trip. On June 13th, both Myat Mon and her mother arrived Taiwan after 4pm. Elaine Chin, volunteer of Taiwan Root, went to pick them up. Taller than last year, Myat Mon is happy to see granny Elaine with big smiles since they both are familiar with Taiwan. Three of them went straight to the hospital for check in after leaving the airport.
Coming back to Tri-Service General Hospital after a year, the overall environment is still so familiar. Nurses are happy to see Myat Mon and greet them affectionately. There is no more anxiety and fear for Myat Mon, instead, she is more self-confident and courageous and grown up now.
June 14th
Mr. Huang, President of Sentec E&E Co., LTD, also came to visit the girl and her mother with NTD100,000 as sponsoring her medical expense. Last year, Mr. Huang also sponsored Myat Mon’s medical expenses with total NTD550,000. Such generosity with love truly touches the heart of Myat Mon and the mother.

In the evening, Dr. Lee, who is the girl’s physician and the director of the Department of Oral Maxillofacial, came to see Myat Mon. He said he will perform a small operation for the girl’s gums next week since her gum is swollen and bleeding sometimes. The operation is to cut off extra part gums covering grown permanent teeth.
June 17th MRT scan this morning. Checkup next week.Nurse used glove to make a smiley face balloon. Mayt Mon is happy playing with it.
June 18th Care from the fellow
A patient of Dr. Lee, who is also from Myanmar came to visit them with homemade food. In a foreign land, the care of fellow from the same country makes them feel so warm.

June 19th Quality time of the girl and the mother
Today, the mother takes photos for Myat Mon and the statue when having the walk in the park nearby. The statue looks like these strong mother and daughter, which shows a great maternal love from the mother not giving up on the daughter.
June 20th
There is minor nose sinusitis found from MRI report. Today, Myat Mon is arranged to have treatment in ENT department before going to the dental department. Dr. Lee said Myat Mon is in stable condition right now and the small operation will be performed tomorrow morning. After the operation, they will have further observation test.

8am this morning, the operation and recovery took about an hour time. Back to her ward, Myat Mon is pretty calm having ice for her jaw. Nurse asked her to stay till 4pm and she could have icy pudding and milk for dessert. Myat Mon is very happy about that. Not only putting on her smile to Grace Lee, Director of Taiwan Root, she also show the victory sign at the same time.
