Emergency Relief Mission to Japan (2011.03.14)

Bookmark and Share

Thank you all for your enthusiasm and support, the emergency relief mission to Japan has been confirmed to be cancelled; we will notify everyone if we have more information.

We have been told by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Japan, and coordinating Japan NGOs: Peace Wind Japan, Civic Force, and BHN, that the disaster areas have been strictly controlled by the Japanese government, and only rescue teams are allowed to enter, even the Japanese NGOs cannot reach in. Therefore, TRMPC’s relief mission has been postponed until we receive more information.

We appreciate and thank everyone’s support, over hundred people volunteered for the relief mission within 48 hours, and many more offered to help in different forms. Even the mission has been cancelled for now; we still should give the 109 volunteers a round of applause for their enthusiasm. Please see below for the detail volunteer list.

TRMPC thank you all for your continuous support, your encouragements helped us go further and do more .
