Qinghai Province 7.1 Earthquake (2010.04.14)

        A series of strong earthquakes struck Yushu County in Qinghai Province in western China this Wednesday early morning (April 14th). The largest quake was recorded to be magnitude 7.1 by The China Earthquake Networks Center. The death toll till this afternoon has been increased to over 400 people, and over 10,000 are injured as over 80-90% houses have collapsed. The number is expected to increase by time.
 
(I)  TRMPC is preparing an emergency medical relief team to provide services from 4/23 (Friday) to 5/2 (Sunday). Due to the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai , this is the earliest flight dates available that have enough seats.
(II) All members ONLY have to pay for the fee for applying the Taiwan Compatriot Permit, which can be issued upon arrival. We must provide the exact name list first; therefore, please provide the following as soon as possible:
 
(i) with valid Taiwan Compatriot Permit but no valid immigration stamp
1.      The original & two (2) copies of the Taiwan Citizen ID Card & Valid Passport
2.      There must be empty sheets in the Taiwan Compatriot Permit
3.      6 months validation is required.
4.      Fee for 3 months single entry: RMB$100
 
(ii) with no Taiwan Compatriot Permit or expired
        1. The original & two (2) copies of the Taiwan Citizen ID Card & Valid Passport
        2. Two (2) of 2” headshot photographs taken within 3 months
        3. Fee for 3 month single entry: RMB$150
 
(III)  If assistance for taking a leave is need, TRMPC will provide all necessary documentations.
(IV) Please contact TRMPC as soon as possible if you are interested to join us.
