The Precious Moments of Life(2)- Girls from Chad, Patricia and Sylvienne 20160822
8/3 (Wed) Sylvienne is excited receiving the backpack
Today, Elaine brings some candies for the two girls. Knowing that Sylvienne studies hard when in school, our volunteer Mr. Ku provides a new backpack for Sylvienne. It also encourage her to back to campus with a brand new look and confidence to focus on her study. Sylvienne holds the gift happily and said “thank you, granny”.

8/5(Fri) Patricia’s return checkup
Today, Elaine takes Patricia and her mother , Leila back to the hospital to see Dr. Hu for checkup. Dr. Hu is satisfied with the recovery progress and the new growth skins.
8/9(Tue) Sylvienne’s return checkup
This morning, Elaine takes Sylvienne and her brother, Leila back to the hospital to see Dr. Liao for orthodontic treatment. And then, going to see Dr. Chen for another checkup.

Dr. Chen is very happy about his goodwork on Sylvienne with her speedy recovery and condition.
8/11,12,14 (Thu, Fri, Sun) Donut, drinks and fried chicken
Every time, Elaine would bring some dessert to visit them. Not only the two girls, adults are looking forward to her coming. Those are the food not seen in Chad. As time goes by, we also start to think if they should adjust the quantity and times for having desserts. It’s possible that they have to readjust living the life with two meals a day back home.

8/16(Tue) Sylvienne’s return checkup
Dr. Chen will massage Sylvienne and demo for her brother every time. With the help of her brother, Sylvienne’s new look will be even more perfect.
8/18(Thu) Sweet brother
Elaine brings some cookies when visiting them. It happens that the brother of Sylvienne is helping her for medication and massage. Their mother must feel good about the brother’s help and care for his sister.
8/19(Fri) Patricia’s return checkup and Dr. Hu’s treat
Friday is Patricia’s return checkup day with Dr. Hu. Her recovery speed is pretty fast on the right hand, which is almost recovered now.

Her hands recovery progress. Left hand is totally recovered. For right hand, there is only small part of the wound expected to grow new skin. As long as it’s been taken care of with proper treatment and wait till it’s recovered. (Photo provided by Dr. Hu)

Dr. Hu is happy to see Patricia’s recovery and decides to treat them with good food. When in Chad for medical mission, Dr. Hu has done a small surgery for Patricia. Who would think that they can come to Taiwan for further treatment under the same doctor. Dr. Hu cherishs this rare luck and relationship.

After 6/23’s children’s wonderland, this get together meal makes Patricia so happy. And it’s a delicious BBQ. It’s so yummy that they keep on eating.The two girls had as much rice as adults and also had as much meat at the same time. After paying the bill, Dr. Hu is checking if everyone is full. The two girls were saying they are still hungry. So, Dr. Hu took them to visit night market and enjoyed a wonderful evening.
Later on progress:
Patricia- every Friday’s checkup till the wound to be recovered
Sylvienne- every Tuesday’s checkup and daily massage herself

They are expected to go home on September 26.
